Had to travel to Japan on business, so i couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a day and hit the only resort they had open (Mt. Naeba/Kagura - in the Yuzawa area of the Niigata prefecture). Was quite crowded, snow sports are very popular here, but good riding. In Japan, i would estimate about 70% snowboard, and only 30% ski. Also the snowboarders here all ride like Shaun White, that is to say, they don't actually make any turns, they just do a series of 360's down the mountain.
