    Yeah, it does happen. Lost a friend named Mark Miller in the late 80s in the Bear River Range during a massive dump at Thanksgiving, found him in June at the bottom of a chute. Only skier that would hike with us boarders as that was during the "skier hates snowboards" era.
    
    The only time that I knew of that he didn't have a bong in his backpack, too. That would have freaked out his mormon parents even worse I think...
